Dialectic
The Dialectic collection is inspired by the philosophical principle of dialectics, in which something new emerges through the interaction of opposites. This idea is reflected directly in the design: the fixed geometry of a semicircle is combined with freedom of movement, a static form with transformation, and directional light with soft reflected illumination. The key feature of the collection is its movable construction, which allows the direction of light to be changed almost completely and adapted to both the user and the surrounding space.
The curved element rotates 180° upwards and downwards, while the entire luminaire can turn around its cylindrical base by almost 360°. This makes it possible to direct the light precisely onto a functional area or turn it towards the wall to create softer indirect illumination.
This transformation turns the luminaire into a versatile tool for different lighting scenarios. It can be used for reading, working, relaxing, or as subtle ambient lighting. Changing its position is therefore not merely a decorative gesture but a practical way of adapting light to a specific activity.
Brightness is controlled by a dimmer discreetly integrated into the lower part of the cylindrical base. This position preserves the clean silhouette of the luminaire while making the control intuitive and easy to access.
Dialectic is particularly functional beside a bed, above a bedside table, or next to a workspace, where both the direction and intensity of light often need to be adjusted according to the task.
The simple geometry of the semicircle becomes dynamic: the visual character of the luminaire changes together with its position and the direction of the light. In this way, Dialectic explores the relationship between form and function, stability and movement, direct and reflected illumination.
