Paparazzi
Paparazzi is a paradoxical lighting collection in which the main focus is not the light source itself, but the decorative glass sphere. The name refers to paparazzi attempting to illuminate their subject from every possible angle. This idea is expressed through an unusual structure of several metal arcs: concealed light sources illuminate the glass simultaneously from three planes, leaving virtually no part of the sphere in shadow. The result is a vivid play of highlights and reflections that emphasizes the beauty of its simple and perfect geometry.
In a conventional luminaire, the shade usually conceals the light source and diffuses its light. Paparazzi reverses this principle: the lighting elements visually disappear and exist primarily to reveal the decorative object. Light therefore becomes an instrument for shaping the perception of material, volume, and space.
The glass sphere features a white gradient finish. In addition to creating a subtle transition between transparent and opaque glass, the gradient conceals the structural fixings and preserves the impression of a pure, uninterrupted form.
The LED sources are concealed behind matte diffusers, allowing expressive decorative effects to coexist with soft and comfortable illumination. The substantial luminous output means that the collection can function not only as a striking interior accent but also as an additional functional light source.
The suspension height can be adjusted during installation. This allows the luminaires to adapt to different ceiling heights, to be positioned above tables and functional areas, or to be combined into compositions of several elements.
Paparazzi is based on the contrast between the concise geometry of the sphere and the complex interaction of light with its surface. During the day, the glass remains a distinctive decorative object; when illuminated, it transforms into a composition filled with reflections and luminous highlights.
