The Teorem table lamp was designed for the Italian lighting manufacturer Euroluce Lampadari and was first presented at the brand’s stand during iSaloni. The collection was inspired by the properties of light, reflection, and the possibility of changing the character of illumination through a simple physical interaction. Its key feature is a rotating glass sphere divided into two different surfaces: one mirrored and one white. By manually rotating the sphere, the user can change the direction and quality of the light.
The light source is integrated into the base of the lamp and directed upwards. The beam reaches the glass sphere positioned at the top of the structure and is reflected from its surface.
The two sides of the sphere create different lighting scenarios. The white surface produces softer, more diffused and indirect illumination, while the mirrored side reflects the light more intensely, creating a brighter and more directional effect.
By freely rotating the sphere, the user can adjust the atmosphere from subtle, subdued illumination to a stronger reflected light. Teorem therefore becomes not only a decorative object but also an interactive luminaire that allows the user to directly influence the lighting environment.
The minimalist geometry of the lamp emphasizes the principle behind its operation. Its visual identity is based on the interaction between simple forms, glass, reflective surfaces, and light.
